Richelle first became involved in the not-for-profit sector while undertaking an internship at a charity as part of her communications degree at Macquarie University. Very quickly, she came to love the passion and determination that envelopes the not-for-profit sector and she knew that she would dedicate her career to making a difference in the world. Once completing her degree Richelle took time out to travel and live abroad, however returned when offered a position at the charity she undertook her internship at.
With a background in communication and online fundraising, Richelle is an expert at all things peer to peer and event based fundraising. She loves digital marketing and social media and could discuss participant journeys all day long. Richelle is passionate about evaluating data and analytics to make informed decisions which produce exceptional results. She firmly believes that the key to success is careful audience segmentation and creating informed personal communications to inspire supporters.
While working for MS Research Australia as the Kiss Goodbye to MS Campaign Manager, Richelle doubled the campaign income, significantly lowered costs and developed a high performing digital marketing strategy with a specific target audience. Richelle grew the Aussie campaign to become the first global MS fundraising campaign, which is now executed in 15 countries around the world, raising millions of dollars for research into MS.
Richelle has experience in holistic project management from strategy development through to implementation. She is passionate about genuine story telling and communicating with supporters in the way they consume information. Her skill set lies in online fundraising, digital marketing, communications, social media, copy writing and data analysis. She is an expert on communicating with difference audience generations and has an extensive understanding of how to engage younger audiences.
She loves working on crazy ideas to see them come to life and no challenge is too hard. She is a big thinking and loves working with a sector that is changing the world as we know it.
