Nuz started her career in banking at HSBC and thereafter American Express leading corporate communications and corporate social responsibility programs with a stint in advertising. In between. She soon found her passion in the not for profit world at Guide Dogs SA/NT and since then has spent over seven years in the fundraising sector, giving her a multi-faceted approach towards fundraising, donor behaviour, insights and audiences.
Nuz was responsible for a 221% growth over a two-year period, (Pareto benchmarking 2017 report) during her time at ActionAid Australia as the Individual Giving Manager, by developing stronger retention strategies, optimised direct mail warm campaigns and an acquisition strategy that led to significant organisational growth. She was also responsible for developing and driving a middle donor program that contributed to over 40% of the charity’s direct mail income.
During her time at Guide Dogs SA/NT, in addition to managing the warm mailings, Nuz developed a multi-channel supporter journey for the puppy sponsorship regular giving program that saw reduced attrition rates. Nuz is a firm believer in data driven fundraising and her experience includes telemarketing, direct mail, acquisition, bequest, digital fundraising, two step and multi-channel communication.
She has won multiple FIA awards with the most recent for her work at ActionAid Australia in the Donor Acquisition category in 2017.
Nuz is passionate about travelling the world and rates smoking a Cuban cigar whilst listening to the music of the iconic Buena vista social club in La Havana, Cuba as her best travel experience to date!
