Carrie is an experienced event and relationship fundraising manager. With a background in Event Management, Carrie joined the non-profit and fundraising sector in 2008. Working in the events team at Oxfam, Carrie had various roles in her 7 years including managing Oxfam Australia’s community fundraising and events, including the 100km Trailwalker event.
Since then, Carrie has gone to roles as the Community Fundraising Manager at the National Breast Cancer Foundation and Relationship Fundraising Manager (Events) at MS Society, before joining Donor Republic as an Account Director in June 2018.
In her 10 year career in the non-profit industry, Carrie has contributed to raising more than $27 million for the organisations she has worked for. Key achievements include establishing the inaugural Oxfam Trailwalker Perth event raising $1.7m; increasing fundraising income from the Melbourne International Comedy Gala by 100% in one year, returning the MS Gong Ride to a sell-out event for the first time in 5 years and increasing fundraising by 26% in 2 years.
Carrie’s areas of expertise include event, peer-to-peer and community fundraising; event strategy and management; stakeholder and supporter relationship management; volunteer management; marketing and digital fundraising.
